We just talked about IVC Group Call.  It is a surprisingly powerful capability.  That is why it is used in Public Safety, Military and Homeland Security.  There is always a group in every team.  Sometimes there is more than one.  In businesses, there are many groups that work together on various aspects of the company’s mission.  Frequent spoken communication among members of these groups drives success.  It builds teams.  Most of us are members of more than one group at work.  IVC enables frequent spoken communication for people who are members of multiple groups.  So, keeping all of that Instant Voice Communication organized is a challenge; one that is solved by PGS.

PGS is short for Priority Group Scan.  Your IVC app is pretty smart and can keep your voice communication organized and prioritized.  You are probably a member of a group that takes precedence over the others for you.  When a group call occurs, you should be part of it.  Your IVC app, using Priority Group Scan, will make sure that happens.  Setting a group to be scanned causes you to hear conversation on that group when other groups are idle.  Adding a priority level to a group means you will join a conversation, even if you are then listening to activity on another group with lesser priority.  Your number one priority group will always take precedence.  A company can even use this capability to create a company-wide channel for urgent communication, such an emergency channel, haz-mat channel or “all hands on deck” channel.

If you are a member of one or more teams at work, look into this powerful aspect of Instant Voice Communication.  It is one very business-oriented feature of a very business-enabling technology.
